Field Craft Training
The Air Cadets are very proud of their strong connections with their parent service the Royal Air Force. One
aspect of ther training closely mirrors the RAF's own training in Field Craft - Operating in field conditions,
surviving in the open, cooking with military ration packs, learning some basic military skills - All, of course,
un-armed.
The training given to the cadets is consistent across the organisation, providing a common understanding when cadets from different Squadrons meet on camps in the UK and overseas. Ultimately the aim of field craft is to give the cadets a fun activity that they enjoy and a new skill that for some will help them in Service careers in the future.
